GUAM CYCLING FEDERATION (GCF)
2025 NATIONAL TEAM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
GCF POINTS SYSTEM
Points will be awarded to the top 5 podium placements at pre-designated events. The highest total accumulated points at the end of the calendar year will determine rider selection to represent Guam in internationally sanctioned events. The points system is as follows:
1st – 100; 2nd – 80; 3rd –60; 4th – 40; 5th – 20
No points will be awarded past 5th place. Points system based on UCI sanctioned events other than World Tour and Pro Series.

NATIONAL RIDER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All riders vying for *National Team selection must meet the requirements listed below:

MTB-XCO
· Guam MTB National Championship – 3 March 2024
ROAD
· Nimitz Loop Road Race – 26 May 2024
· Tour Of Guam – 15 December 2024
ROAD – INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL
· Ritidian Time Trial – 7 July 2024
*National Team selection does not necessarily equate to funding to participate in international events.
**Events are not mandatory, but in order to maximize opportunities to earn points it is recommended to do all or as many of the designated points races as possible.

NATIONAL RIDER ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
All riders vying for *National Team selection must meet the requirements listed below:
- Athlete must be a current GCF member in good standing.
- Athlete must meet all current residency requirements as dictated by the GNOC (Guam National Olympic Committee).
- Athlete must submit a letter of intent to qualify for the following year’s national team via email to [email protected] by:
26 FEBRUARY 2024; 5pm - Athlete must compete in the pre-designated qualifying events. Road national championship event must be in the long course (105km).
- Athlete must conform to all regulations regarding anti-doping policies as outlined by WADA (World Anti-Doping Authority) and adopted by the GNOC and agree to testing if such tests are offered and warranted.
- Athlete must inform the GCF of any and all medical conditions that may affect his or her performance in the intended international event(s), as soon as the athlete is aware of the conditions.
- Athlete must agree to represent the GCF and the GNOC in the utmost professional manner and capacity while competing for the federation and Guam, and that any behavior contrary to this may result in immediate revocation of athlete credentials, dismissal from competition, and could affect participation in future competition.
